About Us
Our experience is wide ranging and we have a range of skills and experience from mediation to criminal investigation and are in a position to deal with all sections of the wider police family
.
The group was originally formed in 2004 as a result of police employment tribunal cases which highlighted that there was very little support and assistance for police officers and their families in certain circumstances.
The IPSG also assist in uncomfortable areas in the police service such as mental health issues and suicide. We aim to improve the treatment of police officers and police staff and in doing so also increase the confidence of the public.
We are caring people and speak up for those who may be unable to do so themselves for whatever reason and can also mediate to resolve issues before situations escalate.
To maintain a level of independence we are not linked to any other police organisation or any staff associations.
